1 out of 5 stars Acne-prone skin beware!   November 5, 2008
I liked the idea behind this product and I loved the packaging. Unfortunately, after using it for a week, my face broke out significantly. I didn't use it for a couple of months while my face cleared up and then I tried it again. My face broke out the second time and I ditched Dr. Feelgood. I also have very oily skin and this product didn't help with the shine much at all.

4 out of 5 stars Dr. Feelgood makes me Feel Good   August 19, 2008

Dr. Feelgood is a great conditioning balm with a light, fresh scent. It works well under or over makeup. I love cosmetics, but I'm somewhat low maintenance AND on a budget. The $30 price tag on this turned me off for awhile (thus only the four stars), but I found myself continually visiting the Benefit section in Sephora to use it. I finally bit the bullet and purchased it, and I have yet to regret it. I use it after applying my makeup in the morning, then once or twice again through the day as a touch-up. I love the way it makes my skin feel, and I think for me personally it really has helped with my skin's condition. I have combination skin - the conditioners in Dr. Feelgood originally made me nervous, but I have yet to breakout from using it. In fact, my skin has been clearer and not as red. The scent is sort of lemony and can be stronger on initial application, but it fades almost immediately. Bottom line, I really like this balm, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to compact powders.

5 out of 5 stars ITS GOOD!   August 17, 2008
Okay, so Im a frequent benefit buyer! I have never thought to write a review for amazon but I thought I should for this specific product! Number one..whoever says it doesnt smell good is crazy! Its very refreshing! At first I didnt think it would do a damn thing, just because it didnt even look like it came off onto the sponge that your given. Thankfully it did! I wear it over my makeup. It defintly fills in those fine lines concealer and foundation can't! Plus if you use it under your eyes your eyeliner, etc. wont smudge! Its overall a great product and I highly recommend it!

2 out of 5 stars Not for oily skin.   July 17, 2008

I received a makeover at our Benefit counter, and this was a product she used. I told her very specifically that I have very oily skin, and wanted something to minimize pores and oil. It looked flawless at the counter, and it looks flawless when I get home and do it there.

It is very smooth and silky, but that wasn't my problem to begin with.

It, to me, felt very "heavy" all day, and within days my skin was breaking out from the excess oil. I have never been shinier, and the oil is now out of control. It seems every product my "consultant" recommended is worthless for my skin type.

4 out of 5 stars Mattifies nicely!   July 10, 2008

I am a redhead and wear sunscreen everyday--the thick, goopy, white-pasty, shiny physical block(not the chemically stuff). To make up for this, I put on my sunscreen, then concealer if needed, and wait about ten minutes to let it sink in, finishing with Dr. Feelgood. This stuff makes me look poreless, shineless, like im not wearing all of the goopy sunscreen at all. I like it better than powder, which sinks into my pores (and most contain talc anyway). One star off because it is pretty expensive for a finisher, but i love this product!
